Curriculum Development may be defined as a systematic planning of who should be involved in the process, what should be taught, how it should be taught, how it should be evaluated, and how it should be improved for effective student performance in schools. The curriculum is reflected in courses of study and school programs. These curricula are compiled in official documents as curriculum “guides” for teachers and mandated by the state (US), province (Canada), national (other countries), district, or local departments of education. Curriculum development never stops. It is an ongoing process of implementation, evaluation, and improvement. The beneficiary of the process is the learner.
